Halifax PrideFest

Our sign got a big response from a lot of people.

We found the Halifax UU Congregation and introduced ourselves : )
This guy must have sewn a thousand peacock feathers onto his headdress and the Pride flag. We awarded him Best in Show!

Lunenburg

Toni, Dan and William took us to have a look at a Lunenburg on the southeast coast. We went to the Fisheries Museum where William and Brian were chosen to help with a demonstration showing how boats were launched many years ago.

Intro to Little Mush-a-mush Lake

You can see Toni and Dan's cottage through the trees
The lake is cool, but not freezing and we got right in.I took the kayak over to a quiet part of the lake to see the beaver lodge. The beavers declined interviews.

There are flowers everywhere-- beautiful lillies, especially.

Welcome to Canada

We cleared customs from the car in about five minutes
and stopped at McD's for a bite to eat before we got on the ferry. "McLobster" for $7.99 -- very Canadian, we're told.
The ferry took us from St. Johh, New Brunswick to Digby, Nova Scotia.
In the Bay of Fundy low tide is really low. When the tide is up the water comes up to the grassline.
We got to Toni and Dan's at about 11 pm and William got to show off his Candian spirit!!

Summer III One Day: Many States

We woke up this morning in Virginia, hopped in the Corolla and thirteen (13) hours later we arrived in Portland, Maine. There was some sort of Perfect Storm of factors that came together to make it possible: We had Speedy Gonzalez (AKA Jack Attack) at the wheel, Patrick and Brian were an absolute DREAM, getting along and quiet in the back seat along with Snoopy at Brian's feet, sleeping between stops.

Summer Vacation II

My newest cousin Naomi, and her big brother, Owen. So sweet!

Summer Vacation I

We had a great visit with PawPaw in Ashburn, GA

And then headed northeast. On the way we happened upon the birthplace of Joel Chandler Harris who wrote the Uncle Remus stories.
